As a Social Media Student Assistant for the University of Akron’s Office of Academic Retention & Support (OARS), I developed and executed digital content designed to increase student engagement, awareness of academic support services, and participation in campus events.

My work included creating short-form video content, static graphics, digital screen assets, and Instagram story campaigns aligned with the university’s brand voice and student-focused messaging. Content was strategically planned around key student milestones, campus programming, and resource awareness initiatives.

Through consistent content production, trend-aware storytelling, and data-informed iteration, the OARS social media presence experienced significant growth in reach and engagement—expanding visibility of academic support resources to thousands of students across campus.
